Dear Liberty,

In a secretly recorded video, Hillary Clinton revealed to several Black Lives Matter activists that she doesn't believe in changing hearts.  She believes in changing laws.  Here in lies the crux of the difference between liberals and conservatives, progressives and constitutionalists, slavery and freedom.

Professor Peter Viereck illustrated it in his book Unadjusted Man as “The liberal sees outer, removable institutions as the ultimate source of evil; sees man's social task as creating a world in which evil will disappear … The conservative sees the inner unremovable nature of man as the ultimate source of evil; sees man's social task as coming to terms with a world in which evil is perpetual and in which justice and compassion will both be perpetually necessary. His tools for this task are the maintenance of ethical restraints inside the individual and the maintenance of unbroken, continuous social patterns inside the given culture as a whole.”

Progressives like Hillary believe man’s behavior can be regulated through law.  They believe morality, their morality not God’s, can be controlled through government enforcement.  There is no interest in trying to convince people their way is right, partly because they think the masses are too stupid to accept it.  They instead bully and force the population into conforming to their beliefs.  The recent same-sex marriage ruling is a perfect example.  Progressives know the American people overwhelmingly reject the practice, so liberal State, Federal and Supreme Court justices spat on the law and the Constitution and forced their agenda through the courts. (see What Is Love?)  Many claim America was moving towards same-sex marriage anyway as state after state started allowing it, but that is a false representation.  Voters overwhelming rejected the idea when given the chance to cast their ballot.  It was judges who overruled the election results and allow it anyway.

It is the same with the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare.  Even today over 53% of Americans still think it is horrible for the country, but the administration, Congress, and the Supreme Court worked in concert to force through and uphold an unconstitutional law even at the objection of the majority of the people.

Supporters in both of these cases, like Hillary, often abandon trying to win over objector’s minds and smugly contend we have to mindlessly accept it because “it’s the law.”  Abortion is legal at this time too, but just because it’s the law doesn’t make it right.  (see Suffering In Utopia)

On the flip side of Hillary’s statement, Progressives don’t respect the rule of law either.  It is a tool to be used for their own benefit and to control the populace.  The law didn’t prevent Hillary from illegally setting up her own private email server as Secretary of State or when she wiped that server clean before surrendering it under subpoena.  Obama praises lawbreakers like Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown (see Just The Facts, Ma'am), and Freddie Grey (see Useful Idiots), holding them out as heroes and martyrs even though they have been proven criminals.  When the law is really needed, this administration rewards those promising to destroy and kill us, like China, Cuba and Iran, by removing all legitimate sanctions designed to keep their behavior in check.

Progressives convinced themselves they have man’s moral authority which can be imposed on the masses.  It is how they can advocate that killing a baby in the womb is principled and refusing to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple is unconscionable.  (see We Reserve The Right To Refuse Service)  Deep down Hillary Clinton and those continuing to support Planned Parenthood as increasingly disturbing videos are released actually do understanding the power in changing hearts.  (see The Axis Of Evil and Evil Is As Evil Does)  This is why Liberals and Progressives have to shove their ideology down the throats of all people through legislation and then publicly destroy anyone who refuses to comply.  They know that the vast majority will outright reject this practice of evil, as they rightly should.  Progressives can’t let the truth be known about the inhuman practices taking place with the aborted and as we now know some living babies.  To them, abortion is the law and that’s the end of it.  Even the simplest question is irrelevant to them - If these fetuses are just tissue and are not connected to human life, then what is the purpose and benefit of harvesting and doing experiments on them?  (see When Does Life Begin?)

Liberty, America was founded on the basis of the rule of law instead of totalitarianism, but it was driven by the principles of self-governing to follow that law.  It was a concept never before tried and only possible when people are guided by a strong internal moral compass, not an external dictator.  Our founding fathers were very clear that it was imperative God be the arrow of our compass if we wished to remain a free, self-governing nation.  Progressives have removed that arrow and replaced it with their own god, the government, as we were also warned about.

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."  Benjamin Franklin, Signer of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.  (see Spirit Of Conciliation)

"Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled either by a power within them or by a power without them; either by the Word of God or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible or by the bayonet."  Robert Winthrop, Speaker of the U. S. House

"Religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society." George Washington.  (see God's Divine Providence)

"The Christian religion, in its purity, is the basis, or rather the source of all genuine freedom in government. . . . and I am persuaded that no civil government of a republican form can exist and be durable in which the principles of that religion have not a controlling influence."  Noah Webster, Father of American Scholarship and Education & Signer of the Declaration of Independence.

"The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. . . All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible."  Noah Webster

"The Bible is the best of all books, for it is the word of God and teaches us the way to be happy in this world and in the next. Continue therefore to read it and to regulate your life by its precepts."  John Jay, Original Chief-Justice of the U. S. Supreme Court

"Whereas true religion and good morals are the only solid foundations of public liberty and happiness . . . it is hereby earnestly recommended to the several States to take the most effectual measures for the encouragement thereof." Continental Congress, 1778

"The only foundation for a useful education in a republic is to be aid in religion. Without this there can be no virtue, and without virtue there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments.  Without religion, I believe that learning does real mischief to the morals and principles of mankind."   Benjamin Rush, Father of American Medicine & Signer of the Declaration of Independence.  (see A Dream Within A Dream)

"Why should not the Bible regain the place it once held as a school book? Its morals are pure, its examples captivating and noble. The reverence for the Sacred Book that is thus early impressed lasts long; and probably if not impressed in infancy, never takes firm hold of the mind." Fisher Ames, author of the final wording for the First Amendment

"Human law must rest its authority ultimately upon the authority of that law which is divine. . . . Far from being rivals or enemies, religion and law are twin sisters, friends, and mutual assistants. Indeed, these two sciences run into each other."  James Wilson, Signer of the Constitution and U. S. Supreme Court Justice

We must continue to turn our focus back to the Lord and reject the misguided illusion of human superiority.  Elitists in both parties have used their bully pulpits to push an ideology that concludes that some humans are more important than others.  It’s why Black Lives Matter activists are infuriated if you say, “All Lives Matter”.  It’s why the media crucifies Christian business owners for living their faith and not participating in a gay wedding yet forgives Muslim terrorists who kill in the name of Allah.  It’s why so many accept Planned Parenthood murdering babies for the mother’s convenience.  They ignore and fight the realities revealed in the Center for Medical Progress videos because they know the damning evidence being exposed can and will change the hearts of the American people, including some who consider themselves pro-choice.  (see The Axis Of Evil)

We are living out the concerns our founding fathers cautioned us about 200 years ago.  Removing God from our government, as well as our lives, removes morality and responsibility from society.  When that happens people demand justice from the government instead, an institution more than willing to dictate, and enforce what the masses can and will do.  The power to govern is eradicated from the citizens and thrust upon a small minority of elites who have no regard for the will of the people.  We see this over and over in politicians who promise specific action if they are put in power and then ignore their promises once there.  Instead they pass laws that take freedoms and liberty away from the people and give themselves more and more control.

When hearts are changed, governmental power is lost.  When hearts are changed, lives are spared.  When hearts are changed, souls are saved.  And that is our goal, Liberty.  We are not to force our beliefs down other’s throats, but show them the love, understanding and forgiveness through the blood of Christ.  We are to be an example so the Holy Spirit can change their hearts and minds to focus on the one true God.  When we put our trust and faith in the Lord, our hearts will influence our behavior.  You will not need laws and regulations to tell you what is right.  Your conscience, guided by the Word of God, will direct your actions.

One of our most powerful ways of witnessing is by the way we live our lives.  By it, you can change the world, one heart at a time.

     That’s my 2 cents.

Love,

Mom
